Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts seeks a PT Senior Sales Associate to drive in‑store sales and deliver exceptional service to students, parents, and educators. In this role, you’ll guide customers in selecting band and orchestra instruments, accessories, and lessons, support rentals and repairs, process transactions, and maintain an organized, merchandised sales floor. You’ll collaborate with a student‑focused, inclusive team, assist with local school and community events, and help meet sales and performance goals while supporting our mission to make music education accessible to all. Guide customers in selecting instruments, accessories, and lessons Support instrument rentals, returns, and repair intakes Process sales, rentals, and lesson enrollments accurately Maintain a clean, well‑merchandised sales floor Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and educators Collaborate with teammates and school service reps Support in‑store events and community/school outreach Stay current on product knowledge and promotions Handle basic inventory, stocking, and pricing tasks Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Customer service Product knowledge – musical instruments Merchandising Cash handling and reconciliation Inventory management basics Lesson and rental program enrollment Communication and interpersonal skills Upselling and cross-selling techniques Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Background in music performance or education preferred Knowledge of band and orchestra instruments Retail or customer service experience in music strongly preferred
