Job Title: General Production WorkerJob Description

Responsibilities: Load machinery according to order specifications. Mark lumber as required for individual jobs, following trained procedures to read and interpret prints. Work collaboratively in a team of up to four people to assemble trusses and panels for prefabricated houses. Ensure cut lumber is directed to the correct line for further processing, including nailing, aligning, and quality assurance. Coordinate with team members to move assembled trusses to the finished goods area for shipment.

Essential Skills: Experience with hand tools, including a framing hammer and tape measure. Ability to read blueprints and perform inspections. Proficiency in assembly and build-out processes. Experience with saw operation and woodworking techniques. Physical ability to lift 25+ lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications: Comfortable using a framing hammer with specific design features. Strong attendance, attitude, and effort. Basic reading skills required.

Work Environment: Our facility combines elements of a lumber yard, warehouse, and manufacturing environment. It is an open-air space equipped with numerous fans and open garage bay doors to ensure a comfortable working environment. The position involves a day shift from Monday to Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and every other Saturday as required.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, KY.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
