The Engineering & Operations Division, dedicated to the recruitment of technical, engineering, and managerial professionals, is currently searching for a: Quality Manager – Aerospace & Defense Supply ChainOur client is a leading international organization operating within the Aerospace & Defense Supply Chain sector, supporting some of the world's most demanding manufacturing environments through quality-driven and highly regulated processes. To support the growth of its North American business, we are seeking a Quality Manager based in Bethpage, New York.
Position Purpose:
Reporting both to the North America General Manager and the Global Head of Quality & Compliance, the Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of the local Quality Management System while serving as the primary point of contact for all customer quality-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 Rev. D, AS9120 Rev. B and ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead internal and external audits
- Manage customer quality requirements and corrective actions
- Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Promote a strong quality culture throughout the organization
- Collaborate with local and global stakeholders to maintain regulatory and procedural compliance
- Background & Competencies
Must Have:
- Previous experience in Quality Management roles
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems
- Experience managing audits and compliance activities
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Advanced English communication skills
Nice to Have:
- AS9100 and/or AS9120 experience
- Aerospace, Defense, Aviation, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry background
- Experience with SAPContinuous Improvement methodologies
- Employment Conditions:
Base salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Annual performance bonus (MBO)401(k) retirement plan
