This is a high-level, hands-on field service role involving: Boiler troubleshooting and repair Combustion tuning Startup and commissioning Controls and electrical diagnostics Preventive maintenance Emergency service support Our technicians work on both: Large industrial steam and hot water systemsCommercial and institutional boiler systems Projects may include manufacturing facilities, hospitals, universities, schools, commercial buildings, processing plants, and temporary/rental boiler installations.
Position Overview:
- This is primarily a travel-based field service position supporting customers across the Southern U.S. region.
- Typical Travel Areas Texas
- LouisianaMississippiAlabamaArkansasFloridaGeorgiaSurrounding Gulf Coast states
- Travel may include: Overnight stays
- Multi-day service projects
- Planned shutdowns
- Startup and commissioning assignments
- Emergency service calls
- Technicians are typically dispatched directly to job sites and operate independently in the field.
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial and commercial boiler systems
- Perform combustion analysis and burner tuning
- Diagnose electrical, controls, and automation issues
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and control drawings
- Perform startup and commissioning of boilers, burners, and related systems
- Support temporary/rental boiler projects
- Inspect and service safeties, valves, pumps, and limit circuits
- Interface directly with plant personnel, facility managers, contractors, and customers
- Complete service reports and communicate findings professionally
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Industrial boiler service
- Commercial boiler service
- Combustion systemsIndustrial electrical troubleshootingBurner controls
- Mechanical or industrial field service
- Strong understanding of:
- Combustion systems
- Electrical troubleshootingBurner management controls
- Limit and safety circuits
- Ability to work independently in field environmentsStrong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Southern U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician certification
- Experience with:
- Fireye, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar controlsPLCs and VFDsSteam and hot water systemsCommercial hydronic systemsIndustrial combustion systems
- Startup and commissioning work
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation$35–$50/hr depending on experience and qualifications
- Significant overtime opportunities available
- Experienced technicians commonly earn $110k–$160k+ annually with overtime and travel work
