Computer Numerical Control Programmer

JOB DUTIES: Monitor, maintain and control the movements of CNC MachinesStrong knowledge of Haas MachinesOperate CNC lathes, mills, set-upRecommend and assist in developing tooling and process documentationTrain new hires/Crosstrain existing employeesInspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are metRead, interpret and convert blueprints into end products using CNCprogramming codesProper handling of measurement toolsMaintain all equipment in good operating conditionSafely perform all responsibilities with adherence to company policyMaintain accurate shop floor control system informationRead detailed engineering documents such as prints, routing and processinstructionsMaintain safe and clean work areaOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:Three years machining experience or equivalentFunctional experience in a department (CNC machining/Steel fabrication) Thorough understanding of program formatAbility to read and edit programs in G-codeComprehensive knowledge of CNC machines and the programming languages used to access and control themStrong computer skills preferred – CAD/CAM software or Conversation softwareLean training preferredProgramming experienceExperience in both Job shop (low volume/ high mix) and Production (high volume /low mix) business modelsHigh School diploma/GED requiredAssociate degree preferredCOMPENSATION BASIS: Willing to pay for experienced candidates
