Postdoctoral Fellow Position in HIV-1 Vaccine Immunology The Reinherz lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to study HIV-1 vaccine immunology. We use an interdisciplinary approach combining structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunology to generate insights that can be translated into HIV-1 vaccine design. Specific research areas of interest include molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying B cell immunodominance and strategies to modulate B cell affinity maturation during vaccination to induce protective immunity while preventing induction of autoimmunity. The laboratory provides a rich training environment and access to cutting-edge techniques. Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. We are united in our mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS, and related diseases. We strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment where we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all backgrounds, and design programs to promote public health particularly among high-risk and underserved populations. We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers, and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
