Saw operator

Job Description: Set up and operates power saw to cut, slot, groove, miter, and trim parts according to specifications2. Selects and installs blade on machine, using hand tools3. Sets controls to adjust speed, feed rate, and blade tensions4. Positions guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpiece, using hand toolsand measuring devices5. Scribes reference lines on material as guide for sawing operations according to part drawings, templates, sample parts, or specifications.6. Mounts workpiece in holding device, manually or using hoist7. Operates saw to cut along scribed lines8. Verifies dimensions of finished workpiece, using measuring devices9. Read, analyze, and understand shop drawings, blueprints, and/or sketches Ability to stand, lift, climb andperform various other physical functions
