Gifted Healthcare seeks Telemetry RNs for travel or local contracts in Hammond, LA. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, including assessments, cardiac and telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration for diverse patient populations. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, document in the EHR, and educate patients and families. Provide telemetry and acute care nursing to hospitalized patients Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring, including cardiac rhythm interpretation Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Document all care and patient responses in the EHR Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies Float between units as needed while maintaining high-quality care Adapt to changing assignments in travel or local contract settings Patient assessment Telemetry monitoring IV therapy and medication administration Care planning and coordination Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Wound care Critical thinking and triage Patient and family education Infection control Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in LA or compact state BLS certification ACLS certification preferred Minimum 1 year recent acute care RN experience Telemetry experience preferred
