Description:
- American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift telemetry position requiring KY or compact RN licensure and recent acute care experience.
- Details42-bed telemetry unit specializing in complex patients with multiple co-morbidities
- Patient population includes palliative care, colorectal surgeries with ERAS protocols, and MDRO patients
- Patients are transferred from ICU, ED, and PACUNight shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7aWeekends and holidays required as needed0.9 FTE position
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
- Current BLS certification
- Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation requiredADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
- Recent acute care experience preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency administering medications and performing procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
- Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and month/day of date of birth for consideration

- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and coordinates treatment with the interdisciplinary team
- Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge processes including patient and family education
- Delegates and oversees tasks performed by other care team members
- Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
- Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
