Shipping and Receiving LeadThe Shipping and Receiving Lead coordinates daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. This position provides hands-on leadership to warehouse employees, ensures materials are processed accurately and on time, and supports compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations.
Assign tasks and provide direction to warehouse team members.
Receive, inspect, verify, and document incoming materials.
Prepare finished products and materials for shipment.
Verify quantities, part numbers, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
Maintain accurate inventory and transaction records in the warehouse management system.
Coordinate with production, inventory control, planning, and logistics teams.
Investigate and resolve inventory, shipment, and receiving discrepancies.
Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, staged, and transported.
Monitor workflow to ensure shipping and receiving deadlines are met.
Train employees on departmental procedures, equipment use, and safety requirements.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Support cycle counts, physical inventories, audits, and continuous-improvement projects.
Escalate operational, safety, staffing, or quality concerns to management.
