License: NC EMT Certification required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire)

Must-Have: 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center. Previous experience in a high-volume emergency department. Ability to work in a team environment. Flexibility to rotate through all areas of the emergency department.

Description: This position is for an EMT in an emergency department setting. The role is designed for those committed to providing high-quality emergency care. You will be part of a team that values collaboration and mutual support. The emergency department typical patient ratio of 4:1 and may increase to 7:1 for behavioral holds. Staff include available techs and unit clerks during both days and nights. Advanced equipment and monitoring systems will be utilized on this unit. Documentation is through a specific electronic health record system. You will need to be adaptable and ready to support various emergency department sections as required.
