Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry in Silverdale, WA

Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry float unit, with patient ratios of 5:1 (up to 6:1 during inpatient boarding situations) Float between Med Surg, PCU, ED boarding, and temporary bed location (TBL) units as neededMonitor and interpret telemetry strips independently; manage drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin (non-DKA protocol), and comfort NarcoticsUtilize Epic EMR; Epic training is providedServe in Charge Nurse capacity as assigned; collaborate with Nurse Aides (typically 4–5 per shift), hospitalist/intensivist, RT, pharmacy, and cross-shift IV SWAT teamCare for patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, Cellulitis, ETOH Withdrawal, Kidney conditions, Dementia, and CVA; participate in close observation via camera monitoringRequired QualificationsActive Washington State RN License or valid Compact RN License requiredBLS certification requiredACLS certification requiredWillingness and ability to float across multiple units including Med Surg, PCU, ED boarding, and TBLsAvailability to work every other weekend and holidays as requiredPreferred Experience / SkillsNIHSS certification (preferred but not required) Prior experience with telemetry monitoring and strip interpretationFamiliarity with Epic EMRExperience caring for patients with neurological, cardiac, or withdrawal-related diagnosesWhy Join UsWork in a well-supported environment with 24/7 respiratory therapy, 24/7 pharmacy, a cross-shift IV SWAT team, and consistent nurse aide staffingFlexible assignment lengths may be available, including shorter-term contracts of approximately 8 weeks for qualified candidates About Concentric Healthcare StaffingFounded and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Concentric Healthcare Staffing specializes in healthcare employment with an emphasis in nursing and allied health.
