Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Design) New York, NY | Full Time | On-SiteAbout the Opportunity A well-established MEP and fire protection consulting firm in Manhattan is expanding and adding three Mechanical Engineers to its growing team. The firm has hired steadily this year, has very low turnover, and invests in training its engineers. What You'll Do:- Design HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings in NYCPerform heating and cooling load calculations and select equipment
- Lay out ductwork and hydronic piping systems
- Produce clear, accurate construction drawings in Revit and AutoCADMake sure designs meet the NYC Mechanical Code, Energy Code, and ASHRAE standards
- Work with the electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams to coordinate designs
What We're Looking For:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field2 to 3+ years of HVAC design experience with an MEP consulting firm
- Hands-on experience with Revit MEP and AutoCADFamiliarity with load calculation software such as Carrier HAP or Trane TRACEWorking knowledge of NYC codes and ASHRAE standards
- Someone who works efficiently, takes pride in the quality of their drawings, and wants to grow with one firm for the long term
Nice to Have:- EIT or FE certification
- Experience on NYC commercial or multifamily projects
