Direct Support Professional – Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

St. Coletta of Wisconsin is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Jefferson, WI. DSPs support daily living activities, personal care, medication administration, transportation, and community integration. In this mission-driven role, you will implement individualized support plans, promote choice and independence, and ensure health and safety. Work collaboratively with a compassionate team, families, and clinicians while documenting services accurately. Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Assist with personal care, hygiene, meals, and household tasks Administer medications and follow health and safety protocols per agency policy Implement individualized service and behavior support plans Support community outings, transportation, and social/recreational activities Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of daily life Accurately document services, progress notes, and incident reports Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, families, and clinicians Monitor for changes in health, behavior, or needs and report promptly Participate in required training and team meetings to ensure quality care Personal care assistance Medication administration Behavior support implementation Documentation and recordkeeping Basic computer skills Safe patient handling and mobility assistance Crisis prevention and de-escalation Vehicle operation and client transportation Infection control practices Communication with individuals with disabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Medication administration training/certification per state requirements Ability to pass background check and required clearances
