Vice President of Technical Accounting Advisory

Industry Accounting Type Privately HeldAbout the RoleThe Company is expanding its Technical Accounting Advisory practice and is in need of a VP to join the team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of providing commercially focused technical accounting advice throughout the deal continuum, from pre-deal assessments to post-close financial reporting. This role involves driving the growth of an existing book of work, leading technical accounting workstreams, and delivering efficient and effective solutions to clients. The VP will also be responsible for assessing complex accounting issues, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the leadership and direction of the group. Candidates for the VP position should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related discipline, and a CPA certification is required. A minimum of 5 years of US GAAP technical accounting experience, with a focus on specific ASC standards, is essential. The role demands a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in public accounting, writing technical accounting memorandums, and a key interest in M&A advisory and related areas are also necessary.
