Position Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations and treatments Safely restrain and handle dogs, cats, and other patients Prepare examination and treatment areas Clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and treatment areas Assist with animal care, feeding, walking, and monitoring Collect, prepare and perform laboratory samples as directed Assist with Radiographs and ultrasounds Help maintain accurate medical records Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients (in-person as well as over the phone) Provide support during procedures and appointments Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment Perform other duties as needed to support the veterinary team
Qualifications:- QualificationsPrevious veterinary experience preferred - 1 year minimum.
- A genuine love and respect for animals
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working with animals of different sizes and temperaments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Proficient in sample collection and obtaining medical histories
- Veterinary Assistant certification is a plus but not required
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
