Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts seeks a PT Senior Sales Associate to drive sales and deliver exceptional service in our retail store. In this student-focused, music-centered environment, you’ll guide customers in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons, while promoting repair and school service programs. Responsibilities include meeting sales goals, processing transactions, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting lesson and rental programs. You’ll collaborate with educators, parents, and students, contribute to community outreach, and help create an inclusive, performance-oriented retail experience that supports music education. Provide consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments accurately Maintain merchandising, stocking, and store presentation standards Educate customers on repair services and school service programs Support lesson and rental program operations and scheduling Build relationships with students, parents, and educators Participate in community and school outreach activities Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic issues Collaborate with team members to support a positive, inclusive store culture Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Product knowledge – musical instruments Music lesson program support Customer relationship management Merchandising and stocking Upselling and cross-selling Basic inventory management Written and verbal communication Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Background in music performance or music education preferred Retail sales or customer service experience in music or specialty retail Familiarity with band and orchestra instruments Ability to work evenings and weekends
