You'll support a network of 33 schools, predominantly elementary campuses, by providing coverage during call outs, filling scheduling gaps, and attending field trips sometimes in a 1:1 capacity with students. Adaptability and confidence are essential, as you may serve as the sole healthcare practitioner at your assigned site, managing the health room and overseeing daily student care. Comprehensive training on district policies and technology will be provided before you start accepting shifts, so you'll feel prepared and informed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to students, addressing acute and chronic health needs during assigned shifts or field trips
- Confidently manage and run health clinics independently, if required
- Complete accurate and timely electronic health record charting
- Follow all district protocols, ensuring student safety and compliance with regulations
- Adapt to diverse school schedules, with shifts ranging between 7:00 am and 4:30 pmQualifications:
- Active RN license in Missouri and current CPR certification
- Previous experience in pediatrics, ICU, ER, or school nursing settings
- Skillful with computers and multitasking
- Reliable transportation to travel between district locations
- Able to pass required fingerprinting background check
