GENERAL DUTIES: Administer radiation treatments to cancer patients. These services further the vision of Desert Regional Medical Center to create unique environments, where patients, their families, doctors and staff come together to achieve longer and better lives in the fight against cancer.

ResponsibilitiesDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES: Setting up and treating patients. Documentation of treatments. Patient management. Patient education Evaluation of patient needs. Resource consultant in clinical situation. First level member of management team. QualificationsRequired: Complies with regulatory requirements (i.e. TJC) appropriate for position 2-4 year degree in ARRT approved radiation therapy programCurrent Certified Radiologic Technologist LicenseCurrent ARRT (maintain current at all times) Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required (maintain current at all times).Knowledge of record and verify computer programsExpertise in all of the various forms of treatment procedure in own departmentAbility to communicate well with patients and co-workersAbility to maintain a high level of accuracy in a high pace treatment environmentAble to convey a sense of calm professionalism to the patientTrouble-shooting skills regarding treatment parameters - (problem solving)
