Indoor Percussion Assistant Director: Battery (1/2 position) - Supplemental

Position Summary: The Indoor Percussion Battery Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and directing the musical and visual training of all sections of the battery percussion.

Duties and Responsibilities: Be completely knowledgeable of battery percussion playing and visual techniques. Develop/maintain and distribute a technique training program for students. Select ensemble members and instrument placement in conjunction with the Director. Develop and execute rehearsal plans for full battery and sub-sectionals in conjunction with the Director. Manage volunteer battery percussion staff in conjunction with the Director. Effectively communicate expectations and goals with students. Attend events and competitions. Advise director of ensemble equipment and ordering needs. Account for school property. Run full ensemble rehearsals in conjunction with Front Ensemble Coordinator and the Director. Prepare an end-of-season summary with recommendations for program maintenance or improvement. Submit report to director.
