Citywide Urban Forestry Director

The City Forester at City of Madison leads the Urban Forestry work unit within the Streets Division, directing care, protection, and planting of all city trees. You’ll supervise staff through subordinate supervisors and manage safety, budgets, and contracts to expand the canopy. Collaborating with multiple city departments and partners, you will develop programs, monitor performance metrics, and ensure equity-focused forestry initiatives.
