Job Title: Psychiatry Physician

Shift Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts, excluding federal holidays)
How many shifts needed per month: Approximately 20 shifts/month (based on 5 days/week schedule)
License: Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State or Territory
Certifications:
Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry
BLS and ACLS certification (current)
Experience needed:
Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience (typical expectation aligned with federal physician roles)
Special Skills needed:
Technical proficiency in psychiatry clinical care
Ability to diagnose, treat, and manage mental health conditions
Strong documentation and EMR skills
Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat patients with mental health conditions
Develop and manage treatment plans
Provide outpatient psychiatric care
Conduct evaluations, consultations, and follow-ups
Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
Maintain accurate medical documentation
Participate in peer reviews and case evaluations
Attend quality improvement meetings and administrative duties (~5%)
See approximately 6 6.5 patient care hours per day
Misc:
Providers must be present onsite during scheduled clinic hours
Must comply with VA credentialing and privileging requirements
Must maintain current certifications, CME, and licensure throughout contract
Contractor must ensure continuity of care and provide replacement coverage if needed
