About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Massena, New York, 13662!Job TitleRegistered Nurse – Medical Surgical / TelemetryLocationMassena, NY | Acute CareSchedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other WeekendKey ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit managing diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, chest pain rule-out, CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawalPerform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias via continuous telemetry monitoringManage and maintain central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, and IV access; administer blood products as orderedOperate and monitor non-invasive respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, and supplemental oxygen delivery systemsParticipate in Rapid Response and Code Team activations as neededMaintain strict isolation precautions and proper PPE use; float to other units as requiredRequired QualificationsActive New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submissionBLS certification requiredACLS certification requiredEpic EMR experience is a hard requirementMinimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experienceMust reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligiblePreferred Experience / SkillsPrior travel nursing experience (this unit does not accept first-time travelers) Experience managing patients with substance withdrawal and seizure disordersProficiency with non-invasive airway management including BiPAP/CPAP and HFNCDemonstrated experience with blood product administration and central/PICC line managementWhy Join UsOpportunity to work in a dynamic Med-Surg/Tele environment gaining broad clinical exposure across a variety of patient diagnoses and acuity levelsPre-start orientation modules may be compensable for up to 5 hours, supporting a smooth transition into the role About Concentric Healthcare StaffingFounded and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Concentric Healthcare Staffing specializes in healthcare employment with an emphasis in nursing and allied health.
