Physicians practice in an academic medical environment with extensive specialty support, Epic EMR, and a predominantly physician-driven staffing model. For an experienced, Spanish-speaking Emergency Physician looking to build a substantial locums schedule in one of the country's most dynamic markets, this is an exceptional opportunity to spend several months practicing in the heart of Miami. Practice Environment Physicians manage a broad spectrum of adult Emergency Medicine presentations with access to an extensive network of consulting specialties. Available specialty support includes: Cardiology & Cardiovascular Surgery General Surgery NeurosurgeryOrthopedicsGastroenterologyPulmonologyHematology/Oncology NephrologyInfectious Disease PsychiatryENTOphthalmologyUrologyVascular Surgery AnesthesiologyRadiologyPhysicians also collaborate with and supervise Advanced Practice Clinicians as part of the Emergency Medicine care model. Candidate RequirementsMD or DOABEM or AOBEM Board Certified – Required Emergency Medicine residency trained Active Florida medical license – Required Fluent/Proficient Spanish – Required Minimum 3+ years of Emergency Medicine experience Current ACLSCurrent BLSComfortable supervising APCsClean credentialing and professional file required October availability required Family Medicine and Internal Medicine-trained physicians are not accepted. The facility will not process candidates with a pending Florida license.
