Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Brake Press Operators for a power solutions manufacturing company in Faribault, MN. What You'll Do as a Brake Press Operator:
- Operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Set up and calibrate machines, tooling, and dies for accurate production runs
- Position and align materials to ensure precise bending operations
- Inspect finished components using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify quality standards
- Monitor production processes, troubleshoot minor machine issues, and maintain efficient workflow
- Complete production documentation, tally sheets, scrap reports, and related records in EpicorFollow safety procedures and perform routine tooling maintenance as needed
- What You Need to Bring to the Brake Press Operator Role:
- Minimum of 2 years of machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude
- Previous manufacturing experience with metalworking, bending, or tooling knowledge preferredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend work instructions in English
- Basic math skills for measurements, production reporting, and material tracking
- High school diploma required; technical education and previous brake press experience preferredAbility to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to wear required PPE, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection
