1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of respiratory care experience and prior travel experience. Details Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics department providing equipment-related patient assessments and setup coordination Day shift, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM1:1 patient ratio Epic charting system experience preferred Neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures including apnea monitors, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilator management Floating required in rotation with facility staff according to floating policies and clinical experience Some holiday and weekend coverage expected
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, previous respiratory care experience preferredRRT certification requiredBLS certification requiredMD license required if applicable
- Prior travel experience required
- Skills in ABG interpretation, RSV care, suctioning (ETT, NT), tracheostomy care/management, trach collar, and oxygen therapyCPAP and BiPAP experience preferred
Additional Information:
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates within 50 miles typically not accepted, though exceptions may be made for this specialty
- Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after a 1-year assignment before returning
- Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to the start of the assignment
- Orientation and annual training modules are completed through an online learning portal
