Cybersecurity Specialist (Full-Time, Exempt)

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other field Two years of technical experience working in an enterprise environment. Desired: Experience related to security technologies such as end-point protection and vulnerability scanning. Experience with HIPAA compliance programs, policies, procedures and risk assessments.

CompTIA Security+ (or higher) CompTIA Network+ISC2 Certified in CybersecuritySKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on open and collaborative communication. Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills while demonstrating a high degree of objectivity, diplomacy and tact. Strong technical aptitude and technical problem resolution skills. Ability to use discretion when handling confidential information. Adaptability in working with professional and non-professional staff in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with one or more cybersecurity technologies, such as endpoint protection, security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, identity security, or Microsoft 365 security tools. Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and guidance, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST security publications, CIS Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK. Familiarity with DevOps or DevSecOps practices is a plus. Knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule and HITECH Act. Ability to work productively in a rapidly changing environment.
