Security Technician I-IV (Four levels dependent on expertise and experience)

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to read, write and speak the English language and follow written and verbal instructions. Current valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver's requirements. Self-motivated and willing to expand skills for further advancement. Ability to work at various heights and in all weather conditions.

Salary/Pay Grade: $14.78/HP-1 Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees. Terms of Employment: 260 days

Essential Functions: Perform assigned tasks cheerfully and promptly. Work in harmony with others. Complete each task with proper written records as required by department guidelines. Provide prompt assistance to others for operation of personnel lift, bucket truck, repair or replacement of video management, intrusion alarm, and access control systems. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc. Comply with district policies. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function. Physical Demands/Working Conditions for all levels: Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds. Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks. Be available for after hour demands, subject to 24 hour responsibility. Maintain emotional control under stress.
