Automotive Service TechnicianVIP Auto Repair – Westland, MIVIP Auto Repair is looking for a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team. What You'll Do: As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for properly diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while ensuring all work meets our high-quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
  • Diagnose vehicle issues using modern diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Properly repair and/or diagnose issues on a wide range of vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance services (brakes, suspension, engine work, etc.)Accurately document findings and recommended repairs
  • Communicate clearly with the service advisor regarding vehicle diagnosis
  • Follow shop procedures and quality control standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Stay up to date with training and advancements in automotive technology (Training available)
What We're Looking For: We are looking for technicians who are skilled, dependable, and committed to doing the job right the first time.
Requirements:
  • State of Michigan certification and/or ASE certifications (required)
  • Proven experience in automotive repair and diagnostics
  • Valid driver's license
  • Preferred Qualities: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Willingness to continue learning and improving skills
  • Good time management and ability to stay productive
  • Pride in workmanship and accountability for repairs
