Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Picture Framer role based in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. The Picture Framer will design, assemble, and finish custom picture frames using wood moulding and glass, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, mounting and matting artwork or photos, and safely handling glass and framing tools. The role also involves assisting customers with frame selection, providing recommendations on styles and finishes, and maintaining a clean, organized workshop and retail area. The Picture Framer will collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and uphold Modern Memory Design's standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess skills in Framing and Picture Frames, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing custom frames.
Candidates should possess skills in Woodworking, including safe use of hand tools, power tools, and material handling.
Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen to customer needs, and provide product recommendations.
Candidates should have experience as a Framer or in a similar hands-on craft, art, or workshop environment.
Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, ability to stand for extended periods, and basic math skills for measuring and cutting.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior experience in picture framing, woodworking, or retail is an advantage.
