Job Responsibilities:
Provide consultations and follow-up care to patients.
Oversee the administration of antineoplastics in the clinic.
Participate in phone triage calls from hospitalists.
Conduct bone marrow biopsies and manage patient treatment plans.
Engage with a support team of nurses, social workers, and ancillary staff.
Maintain a schedule of 16 patient shifts per month, primarily Monday to Thursday.
Utilize EMR (EPIC) for patient documentation.
Opportunity to teach and mentor advanced practice providers.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology (REQUIRED)
- Active Iowa License or Active IMLC (REQUIRED)
- Fellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology (REQUIRED)
- Full-time availability (Monday - Thursday, REQUIRED)
- Experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered
- Ability to perform MUA (REQUIRED)
- Clean malpractice and background check (REQUIRED)
- License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid Iowa Medical License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Board certification in Hematology and Oncology
- Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology
