Position Overview:
We are seeking a Scientist II – LNP Formulation for a long-term contract opportunity in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on industry experience in lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation involving nucleic acids, including mRNA, siRNA, or DNA.This role is well suited for a scientist who can execute formulation experiments and processes under team guidance and contribute to ongoing research and development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute LNP formulation experiments involving mRNA, siRNA, or DNA.Support nucleic acid formulation and encapsulation activities.
Follow established experimental protocols and formulation processes under team guidance.
Collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams to support research and development objectives.
Maintain accurate experimental records and follow laboratory procedures.
Mandatory Qualifications3–4 years of relevant industry experience in Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulation.
Hands-on experience formulating LNPs with at least one nucleic acid modality: mRNA, siRNA, or DNA.Ability to execute formulation experiments and processes with team guidance.
Must currently reside in San Diego, CA; relocation candidates will not be considered.
Willingness to work in a Level II contract position for the specified W2 rate.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred. Ph.D. candidates with relevant hands-on research experience may be considered if they are comfortable with the Scientist II contract level and compensation.
