Job Description:
Are you looking for meaningful part-time work where you can use your organizational and people skills to make a difference in your community? C-U at Home is seeking a Part-Time Volunteer & Event Coordinator to help engage volunteers, coordinate events, and connect individuals and community groups with our mission. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, organizing details, building relationships, and creating positive experiences. This position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, with some increased hours around major events. Some evening or weekend availability will be needed for events.
What You'll Do:- Recruit, welcome, train, schedule, and support individual volunteers and volunteer groupsHelp create meaningful opportunities for volunteers to engage with C-U at Home
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and in-kind donations from individuals, churches, businesses, and community groupsHelp recognize and appreciate our volunteers
- Coordinate C-U at Home events and assist with third-party fundraising and awareness events
- Assist with donor and community engagement
- Help communicate C-U at Home's mission and impact
- Work closely with the Executive Director and other team members
- Represent C-U at Home professionally and positively in the community
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who is organized, dependable, flexible, welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide variety of people.
Qualifications include:- Associate's degree in a related field or at least two years of relevant volunteer coordination experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good judgment and the ability to adapt when plans change
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft and Google tools
- Ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds
- Experience working with volunteers, events, nonprofits, or community organizations is a plus
- Experience with or a passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness is preferred
