Salary: $85,000–$120,000 | Office-based
An established Long Island CPA firm is looking for a Tax Accountant or Tax Senior with at least three years of public accounting experience. This position would suit someone who enjoys hands-on tax preparation, values working within a close-knit team and wants to develop a long-term career.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual federal and state tax returns, particularly Form 1040 Complete supporting workpapers and compliance assignments
- Assist with tax notices and client questions
- Work with senior colleagues on more complex tax matters
- Build technical and client-facing responsibilities
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong individual tax preparation experience
- Good knowledge of federal and state tax compliance
- Ability to work accurately and manage filing deadlines
Strong communication skillsCPA qualification is preferred, with Enrolled Agents also considered.
