Telemetry Technician Observes electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor and closed-circuit television (CCTV) and alert nurses and physicians to changes in the patient's heart rate rhythm and the occurrence of arrhythmias.
Required qualifications:- High School Graduate or GEDPrior experience as Telemetry Technician
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Ability to operate cardiac monitors and EKG machines
- Ability to recognize myocardial infarction arrhythmia
- Ability to recognize normal and abnormal arrhythmias
Preferred qualifications:
Completion of Medical Assistant program Successful completion of Rhythm Recognition Course
Skills:- Ability to communicate effectively, and follow written and/or oral instructions
- Strong quality customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
