Designer

About the Role: We’re looking for a creative, hands-on Designer to join a fashion brand in New York City. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fashion trends & can balance fresh ideas with commercial appeal. They’re comfortable working independently and staying involved throughout the design process.

Responsibilities: Develop knitwear designs. Create CADs and sketches to communicate design ideas. Support development, review prototypes & provide comments. Participate in fittings and work with factory partners throughout the process. Bring forward ideas for yarns, stitches, color & knitwear techniques.

Qualifications: 5-8 years of design experience preferred, with flexibility for the right background. Strong knowledge of knitwear construction, yarns, stitches & gauges. Hands-on experience with design development, CADs, fittings & factories. A creative, curious approach and the ability to work independently.
