Job Title:
Fabricator Job Description: Grind, copes, notches and fits parts as necessary. Also welds and partially assembles parts when required. Tasks to Perform: Obtains necessary materials, drawing and tools to perform each job. Interprets drawings and sketches and does layout work on piping, structural, plate, etc. Calculates any dimensions necessary to complete the assigned job Fits-up and tack welds materials to be welded Fabricates jigs and fixtures to be used in production as needed. Sets up and operates positioners and rolls Sets up and operates various types of welding machines, including MIG, TIG, STICK, to fit and weld any type of material.
