Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist in Texas
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage at a busy hospital and outpatient cardiology clinic in desirable area. The hospital is a 24/7 STEMI receiving center with strong APP and physician support.
Clinical Responsibilities:- Outpatient cardiology clinic and inpatient care
- Non-invasive cardiology (required)
- Invasive cardiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, PA catheter, IABP, cardiac catheterization (required)TEE preferred but not required
- Nuclear cardiology read by radiologists; cardiologists manage positive stress tests
- Support from 4 other general and interventional cardiologists
Schedule: Clinic and Call
Qualifications:- TX medical license requiredDEA, BLS, ACLS certifications required
- Board certification in Interventional Cardiology preferred
- Experience managing emergent STEMI cases preferred
- Technically sound with excellent judgment in cath lab
