In this role, you'll be part of the manufacturing process, assembling and operating machinery to produce high-quality brushes used across various industries. Location:
Mentor, OH Shifts: 1st shift- 7:20 am - 3:50 pm, Monday- Friday - $16.25/hour 2nd shift- 4 pm - 12:30 am, Monday- Friday - $17.25/hour Perks: Temperature controlled environment, pay increase upon permanent hire, and a $500 sign on bonus! This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform simple, repetitive hand and machine production tasks to safely and efficiently assemble or twist brushes made from various materialsCut and prepare fill material for use in brush assembly or twisting operationsSpread and position fill material evenly between stem wires using guides or stopsTwist and assemble brushes in varying order quantities and package them for shipmentObtain first-piece inspections and monitor work in process against quality standardsFollow work instructions, safety protocols, and operating procedures for machine loading and adjustmentsOccasionally perform additional tasks such as attaching handles, ferrules, or couplings; threading stems; pulling springs; trimming ends; and shaping wireRecord production data accurately and report any equipment issues, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisorWhat We're Looking For: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsBasic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machineryAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityWillingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment
