Sanding & Prep Technician:
Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and take pride in producing quality work? We welcome you to join our team as a Sanding & Prep Technician. You’ll play an important role in preparing custom cabinetry for the high-quality painted and stained finishes that go into luxury homes and commercial projects throughout the greater Charlotte area.
What You’ll Do:
- Sand cabinet parts, panels, doors, edges, and profiles to finish-ready standards
- Follow established sanding methods and grit sequences for different materials and finishes
- Remove glue, mill marks, handling damage, and other surface defects
- Protect edges, profiles, and veneers from rounding or sand-through
- Inspect your work and correct sanding defects before parts move to finishing
- Properly protect, stack, and stage completed parts
- Maintain steady production while meeting MHC quality standards
What We’re Looking For:

- Experience with orbital sanders and hand-sanding tools preferred (will train as needed)
- Attention to detail and ability to recognize surface defects
- Ability to consistently produce quality work with minimal rework
- Ability to lift up to 75 lb throughout the workday
- Willingness to learn MHC sanding, quality, and safety standards
