The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join Mount Sinai Hospital. This role involves working within a 25-bed general adult psychiatric inpatient unit at the flagship hospital on the Upper East Side of New York City. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues as an integral part of a health system
- Participate in 90% clinical and 10% teaching activities
- Share on-call duties with the other inpatient attendings
- Participate in the initial evaluation, assessment, treatment, and disposition of psychiatric patients admitted to the inpatient psychiatry services
- Supervise inpatient rounds
- Supervise psychiatry residents and rotating medical students in their clinical duties
- Provide six (6) weekends of coverage per year at the Inpatient Unit
- CompensationCompensation range from $240,000 to $315,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
Qualifications:
- Board certified or board eligible Psychiatrist
- Possess NYS license to practice medicine
- At least one-year post-residency experience in inpatient/emergency psychiatry services preferred
- Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills required
- Outstanding teaching skills
- Must possess highly collaborative and proactive approach, and demonstrate commitment to high-quality, cost-effective health care
- A strong work ethic and desire to participate in and grow a team-oriented, performance-driven department
