Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions for a not-for-profit educational institution
- Track and reconcile restricted, temporarily restricted, and unrestricted funds
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records, with a strong emphasis on reviewing and verifying work prior to submission
- Support endowment accounting and reporting
- Communicate professionally and confidently with families on billing and payment matters, maintaining firmness and courtesy under pressure
Requirements:
- Not-for-profit accounting experience, specifically endowment accounting and fund tracking (restricted/temporarily restricted/unrestricted)
- Blackbaud accounting software experience preferred
- School or educational institution accounting experience preferred
- Demonstrated track record of accuracy with minimal recurring errors
- Ability to work independently while recognizing when to escalate questions on institution-specific accounting treatment
