Plumbing Construction Superintendent I

R.T. Moore Co., Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Superintendent I to lead field plumbing operations on residential and multi-family construction projects. This role oversees crews, coordinates schedules, ensures code-compliant installations, and drives jobsite safety and quality. You’ll interpret plans, manage materials and subcontractors, and collaborate closely with project managers and builders to keep projects on time and on budget. As a working leader, you’ll mentor apprentices, support training, and model craftsmanship and integrity while delivering reliable mechanical solutions for our customers and communities. Lead and supervise plumbing crews on residential and multi-family projects Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily field plumbing activities Ensure installations meet code, specifications, and quality standards Enforce jobsite safety policies and conduct safety checks Interpret blueprints, plans, and submittals for layout and installation Manage material orders, deliveries, and onsite inventory Coordinate with project managers, GC, and other trades to meet deadlines Inspect and troubleshoot plumbing systems and resolve field issues Train, mentor, and evaluate apprentices and field plumbers Document progress, report issues, and support project closeout Plumbing system installation and layout Reading and interpreting construction blueprints Knowledge of plumbing codes and inspection requirements Crew supervision and leadership Construction scheduling and coordination Jobsite safety practices (OSHA) Material planning and inventory management Troubleshooting plumbing systems Use of plumbing tools and test equipment Documentation and basic computer skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state Journeyman or Master Plumber license (or ability to obtain) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred Clean driving record and valid driver’s license Experience reading construction blueprints and plumbing schematics
