RN Cath Lab IR

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital seeks an experienced RN for our Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology team. This full-time, day-shift role provides comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and IR procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. The RN will monitor hemodynamics and sedation, ensure sterile technique, respond to emergencies, and collaborate closely with physicians and technologists. Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for Cath Lab and IR patients Monitor hemodynamic status, sedation, and patient response during procedures Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure equipment readiness and safety Administer medications, including moderate sedation, per protocols and orders Coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely Respond to emergencies and participate in code and rapid response situations Support quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice Uphold MLK Community Hospital’s mission of compassionate, equitable, culturally responsive care Cardiac catheterization procedures Interventional radiology (IR) procedures Moderate sedation administration Hemodynamic monitoring Telemetry/EKG interpretation ACLS emergency response Sterile technique and infection control Vascular access management and sheath removal Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active California RN license BLS Certification ACLS Certification PALS or NRP preferred Prior Cath Lab or IR experience preferred CRN or RCIS certification preferred
