Japanese-English Bilingual Technical Sales Representative A global Japanese electronic components manufacturer is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Technical Sales Representative. This role focuses on providing technical sales support for aluminum electrolytic capacitors and related materials, including in-house manufactured aluminum foil and electrolytes. The ideal candidate will work closely with R&D and procurement departments at customer sites—primarily in the semiconductor and electronics sectors—and serve as a liaison between local clients and technical teams based in Japan and Taiwan. • Engage in technical sales activities with key customers, particularly in the semiconductor and electronics industries • Conduct product presentations, gather technical requirements, and propose solutions based on customer needs • Collaborate with engineering teams in Japan to ensure seamless communication and project execution • Provide support throughout the design-in and mass production phases • Travel as needed within the region • Identify potential clients and support new business development initiatives • Prepare technical documentation, proposals, and reporting using internal CRM tools • Serve as a bridge between local customers and internal global stakeholders • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break) • Hybrid work: Up to 1 day per week remote work (flexible depending on circumstances) • Rolling Meadows, IL • Annual salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications) • Annual bonus: Typically one month's salary (paid in December) • Annual salary review (based on performance, market trends, and inflation rate) • Health insurance: Approximately 90% covered by the company • 401(k) plan with company matching (details to be confirmed) • Opportunities for training and business trips to Japan • Visa sponsorship available (conditions apply) • Weekends and public holidays off (according to U.S. calendar) • Paid vacation, sick leave, and special leave in accordance with company policy • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (verbal and written) • 10+ years of B2B sales experience or engineering experience in the manufacturing industry • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) background preferred • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills • Able to travel for business within the U.S. as needed • Authorization to work in the U.S. (Visa support available)
