High-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment Highest-acuity cardiovascular service in the area Caring for complex cardiac and cardiovascular surgical patients Transplant experience is not required, as the service manages cardiovascular cases other than transplant patients Required Clinical Experience Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with advanced cardiovascular critical care, including: ECMOImpellaIntra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) Experience with multiple forms of advanced mechanical circulatory support is essential for success in this role. Patient Population & Clinical FocusThe CVICU manages highly complex cardiovascular patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life-support interventions. Nurses should be comfortable caring for critically ill cardiac patients and managing sophisticated cardiovascular support devices. DocumentationEMR/Charting System: CernerIdeal Candidate The ideal candidate is a highly experienced CVICU RN who is confident managing high-acuity cardiovascular patients and has recent hands-on experience with ECMO, Impella, IABP, and VADs. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where advanced cardiac critical-care skills and strong clinical judgment are essential.
