The Referral & Scheduling Coordinator is an integral member of the healthcare team and is responsible for appointment scheduling and referral functions throughout Marshall Medical Center’s (MMC) outpatient clinics.. Works with internal and external physician office staff, patients, providers and clinical staff to facilitate a fast and efficient referral process.. Previous experience in automated scheduling and/or referral functions for a physician office or multi-provider clinic, or experience with a medical background such as a Medical Assistant is highly preferred.. Basic knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding.. Office equipment familiarity & computer/data entry skills required, electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.
