Working under the direct supervision of the Operations Director the Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for assuming ownership of one or more entire projects and monitoring the performance of them including safety, quality, scheduling, budgeting and overall client satisfaction.. The Commercial Superintendent will be primarily responsible for the coordination, planning, organization and direction of all job-related activities and supervision of all SEL Construction field personnel as required to successfully complete each project on schedule, within budget while ensuring the clients complete satisfaction.. The Commercial Superintendent plays a key role within SEL Construction and will liaison with the Project Managers, Clients and other key personnel throughout the duration of each contract.. Minimum 5 years experience as a Commercial Superintendent in the commercial solar energy industry. While performing the duties required for this position, the Commercial Superintendent may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions.
The plant maintenance group is an integral part of the water treatment section.. The Utilities Department owns and operates two conventional water treatment plants (20 MGD each) that treat water from the State Water Project and from a City-owned reservoir and a third seasonal treatment plant (3MGD) that treats another smaller but pristine local reservoir.. The Water Plant Maintenance Superintendent will report to the Water Quality Manager and oversee the planning, organization, and supervision of maintenance and repair activities for water treatment and storage systems, facilities, and equipment.. This includes managing the upkeep of supply reservoirs, pump stations, and City-owned watershed property.. Retirement - The City participates in the CalPERS retirement pension system.
