Unitek Technical Services provides supplier management, development, and related technical services to corporations around the world. The TSM will be responsible for providing onsite support at various Lockheed Martin (LM) major systems, airframe, and tooling suppliers located within 10 mile radius of (San Diego, CA). A TSM is a member of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team that LM Aeronautics uses to minimize disruptions to the supply chain by providing “in the field” oversight of supplier execution. Candidates should have an understanding of production processes as they relate to aircraft systems components and avionics equipment, machined part fabrication, tooling fabrication, and lean manufacturing. The candidate will regularly collaborate across multiple functions (within LM and at the supplier facility), including production, procurement, quality, and engineering, in order to expedite parts/assemblies that are required to support each of the LM Aeronautics Lines of Business (LOB).
The Process Development Engineer designs, develops and optimizes manufacturing processes for design transfer to the production facility. A Product Development Engineer optimizes parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications ahead of design transfer activities. Use Lean Manufacturing Methodology, including Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events. Use Six Sigma Methodology (DMAIC or DMADV) and tools including Minitab, FMEA, Fishbone, Process Mapping, etc. Statistical analysis of raw data is required, proficiency in Minitab is preferred.
