The Customs Entry Writer is responsible for preparing, compiling and managing all documentation and records required to clear goods through the United States Customs Service (USCS), including negotiating with, retaining and service as an intermediary between airlines, shipping companies, trucking companies, shippers, consignees, bonded and other warehouses and the USCS. Maintain up to date knowledge of all regulations and procedures of the Food and Drug Administration, Department of Transportation and other state and federal agencies regarding the importation and transportation of goods, including hazardous materials, food and live animals. Perform customer service duties with correspondence to customs and overseas partners, emails fax, etc. Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in importing or freight forwarding business. Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
