Officer positions in the Supply Corps are available to college graduates, and Logistics Specialist (LS) positions are available to those without a degree. Degrees in business, science, technology, engineering and mathematics are preferred but not required. A graduate degree is preferred by not required. The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing yard operations, managing up to seven direct reports, and ensuring the efficient movement of inbound and outbound freight. Lead daily and weekly business reviews (WBRs), providing root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plans (CAPs). Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance operations. Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI management, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action planning (CAP). Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), yard management systems (YMS), and data analytics tools.
